Austauschsemester EPFL (EN)

During the course of the Master's programme, one semester has to be spent at EPF Lausanne. This exchange semester is a mandatory part of the programme.

• Students enrolled at ETH Zurich must start the Master's programme in Zurich.
  
• Students must earn 20–35 ECTS credits at EPFL.
  
• Students must fill in a Download study plan (PDF, 169 KB) for the semester at EPFL.
  
• The Inter Focus Courses must be completed at ETH Zurich.
• The Master’s thesis may be conducted externally (counts as ETHZ credits) – with a Cyber Security faculty member’s agreement.

Scholarship

All students who started their MSc Cyber Security studies at ETH Zurich in the autumn semester 2026 or before receive a scholarship for their exchange semester at EPF Lausanne. The Studies Administration will send more information by email after registration for the exchange semester.

Accommodation

Students going on exchange in the spring semester can get support in finding accommodation. This may be in the form of student housing, but this is not guaranteed. After registration for the semester in Lausanne, students will get further information directly from EPFL by email.

Deadlines

All deadlines will be announced by the Studies Administration in due time.
