Austauschsemester EPFL (EN)

During the course of the Master's programme, one semester has to be spent at EPF Lausanne. This exchange semester is a mandatory part of the programme.

• Students enrolled at ETH Zurich must start the Master's programme in Zurich.
  
• Students must earn 20–35 ECTS credits at EPFL.
  
• Students must fill in a Download study plan (PDF, 169 KB) for the semester at EPFL.
  
• The Inter Focus Courses must be completed at ETH Zurich.
• The Master’s thesis may be conducted externally (counts as ETHZ credits) – with a Cyber Security faculty member’s agreement.

Regulations and Course List EPF Lausanne

For the courses at EPFL, EPFL regulations apply. They are published in the "Rulebook" and available in French only. Follow the link to the externe Seite Cyber Security Rulebook 25/26.

The EPFL course list is called "study plan". The externe Seite Cyber Security study plan  will be updated for the academic year 25/26 in early August. In the meantime, lists of offered courses can be found externe Seite here.

This list of the same courses additionally shows the course categories at ETH Zurich each EPFL course can be transferred to: Course transfer list 24/25. The list for 25/26 will follow in August, after the updated study plan on the EPFL website.

Scholarship

All students receive a scholarship for their exchange semester at EPF Lausanne. The Studies Administration will send more information by email after registration for the exchange semester.

Accommodation

Students going on exchange in the spring semester can get support in finding accommodation. This may be in the form of student housing, but this is not guaranteed. After registration for the semester in Lausanne, students will get further information directly from EPFL by email.

Deadlines

All deadlines will be announced by the Studies Administration in due time.
