Now I am working on building heterogeneous ML training systems with Prof. Gustavo Alonso. We manage to run various preprocessing tasks on FPGA and train the corresponding ML models. Heterogeneity can significantly increase the overall system performance. Anyone interested in this field can contact me for a project/thesis.
