2024 VIS Teaching Awards

Students of the department have voted for their favourite teaching assistants. VIS board member Benedikt Falk announced the winners at the last Department Conference. Big congratulations to all the recipients!

At the last Department Conference on 27 May, VIS board member Benedikt Falk announced the winners of the 2024 VIS Teaching Awards (Spring Semester 2024). Students have voted for their favorite teaching assistants: The teaching assistants (TAs) were distinguished for their extra efforts to support students in lectures and practical courses.

This semester’s favourite TAs are:

  • Sarah Kuhn: distinguished for well-thought-out slides, great explanations and good breakdowns of complicated
    topics
  • Manuel Di Sabatino: distinguished for being clear and concise, good material and a lot of examples
  • Anja Sjöström: distinguished for good handouts, tips and tricks to solve exercises efficiently and intuitive explanations
  • Maria Makeenkova: distinguished for being very helpful during the labs and clear answers
  • Roberto Oliveira Pais: distinguished for good focus on the important material, great examples and good explanations of difficult topics
  • Constantin Mussaeus: distinguished for good slides, very good explanations and practical examples
  • Ramon Wick: distinguished for writing a very helpful guide, thorough explanations and extra material with very
    detailed examples
  • Joël Vögtlin: distinguished for good presentations, easily digestible explanations
  • Georgia Hadjipanayiotou: distinguished for good lecture notes, helpful additional questions and thorough explanations
  • Yanik Künzi: distinguished for detailed corrections, very good summaries and nice visualisations
