Teaching Awards
Golden Owl
The Golden Owl is an award given to lecturers who have provided exceptional teaching and encourages them to continue in this way. The award was initiated by VSETH, ETH Zurich's students' association.
All ETH members with a teaching assignment are entitled to a Golden Owl nomination. One lecturer per department is selected to receive this mark of recognition.

Credit Suisse Award for Best Teaching
The aim of the Credit Suisse Award for Best Teaching is to promote quality teaching at tertiary level, and to strengthen Switzerland as a science and research location.
The winners of a Golden Owl are automatically nominated for the Credit Suisse Award for Best Teaching. Using the overall ranking list and other criteria, VSETH and other student associations select the recipient of this prize. The prize is conferred on ETH Day.
