Department alumni powering Switzerland's innovation engine
Two alumni of our department are quoted in the latest edition of ETH Globe magazine along with other former ETH students driving innovation in our country: Dominik Blunschy is Lead Engineer at ti&m and an MP (National Council). Myke Näf is Co-founder and managing partner of Übermorgen Ventures. Both completed a Master's degree at our department and now share their thoughts on what it takes to turn ideas into innovation.
ETH Zurich takes 7th place in QS ranking
ETH Zurich maintains its excellent ranking from the previous year in the QS rankings just published. Alongside top scores for its academic reputation and international outlook, the university’s efforts in the area of sustainability have also helped it to retain seventh place.
QS World University Rankings by Subject
QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) unveiled its 2024 World University Rankings by Subject. ETH Zurich landed with 3 subjects in the top spot. A further 14 placed within the top ten in the world, among them Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (rank 7) and Computer Science and Information Systems (rank 9).
Plug-and-play robots for material handling
Flink Robotics, a newly founded D-INFK spin-off, is crafting cutting-edge software for next-generation robots to enable automation anywhere and for everyone. Professor Stelian Coros, doctoral student Simon Huber and former postdoc Moritz Geilinger are the co-founders.
