At the last Department Conference, VIS board member Johannes Göttle announced the winners of the 2025 VIS Teaching Awards (Spring Semester 2025). The Teaching Assistants (TAs) were distinguished for their extra efforts to support students in lectures and practical courses. This semester’s favourite TAs are:
- Robin Ebersberger, distinguished for interactive and adaptive teaching, exceptional self-made materials and thorough, helpful feedback.
- Benedikt Falk, distinguished for clear, structured sessions with practical focus and intuitive explanations that build strong understanding.
- Elena von Känel, distinguished for competent, clear and reliable support and encouraging and very motivating presence.
- Victoria Miebach, distinguished for clear explanations, structured sessions, excellent notes and helpful extra materials.
- Ruben Oliveira Rodrigues, distinguished for well-structured sessions, excellent examples and thoughtfully designed exercises.
- Sangbeom Park, distinguished for deep expertise and insightful links to other topics, clear explanations and strong mathematical insight.
- Alice la Porta, honoured again for energetic, motivating presence and supportive and engaging teaching style.
- Jonas Wetzel, distinguished for clear explanations of complex concepts and infectious enthusiasm.
- Ramon Wick, honoured again for engaging, well-prepared sessions, clear corrections and great additional material.
