Giulio Carassai wins Walter Saxer Prize
Giulio Carassai, former Master's student in Data Science at the Department of Computer Science, was awarded the Walter-Saxer-Versicherungs-Hochschulpreis (insurance prize) 2025 for his Master's thesis: "Neural Optimal Transport at Scale: Wasserstein Barycenters for Fair Insurance". Congratulations!

The Walter Saxer Prize is given for excellent Master’s as well as PhD theses from the broader field of insurance. Its recipients typically pursue actuarial careers, mainly in Swiss insurance companies, but in some cases go for an academic career.
