Farewell, Ankit Singla
Professor Ankit Singla, head of the Network Design Lab, is leaving ETH Zurich to take on a new role with Google.
Ankit Singla joined the department in 2016 as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor.
Ankit Singla is leaving the Department of Computer Science at the end of February. He will take up a new post with the networking team at Google, where he will focus on the network underpinning Google's global data center footprint.
In his research, Singla has been linking the classic areas of high-performance computing with new methods of protocol and network design. The core of his application-oriented research on network architectures is on new protocols, topologies and networks in relation to data centres and the Internet.
