Facebook Research Award for Anwar Hithnawi

Ambizione research fellow Anwar Hithnawi was granted the Facebook Research Award. The goal of this prestigious award is to invest in academic research in the field of privacy technology.

Focused on the fields of applied cryptography, data policies and compliance, differential privacy, and privacy in AI, the Facebook Research Award aims to support privacy-related projects in academia. Anwar Hithnawi, winner of the respected grant, is an Ambizione research fellow at ETH Zurich, where she leads the Privacy Preserving Systems Lab. Her research focuses on data privacy, applied cryptography, and systems. Hithnawi completed her doctoral degree in computer science at ETH Zurich. Upon graduating, she spent two years as a postdoc at UC Berkeley.
