Entrepreneur, app developer, ESOP scholarship holder: at the age of only 24, Larissa Laich has already achieved a lot. Her curiosity and enthusiasm for her field have shaped the young computer scientist’s career from her first programming attempts at school to her Master’s degree at ETH Zurich.

The committee of the 41st IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy has honoured Prof. Adrian Perrig with four Test-of-Time awards for papers published in the 12-year period between 1995 and 2006 of which he was an author.

Liliana Barrios researches ways to measure fatigue

The majority of multiple sclerosis patients consider fatigue the single most wearing symptom. And yet, fatigue is still poorly understood. Doctoral student Liliana Barrios wants to change that by introducing smartphone-based methods enabling patients to measure their motor fatigability remotely and more frequently.
