Through the Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP), ETH Zurich supports outstanding students in their Master's degree course at ETH Zurich. The scholarship covers the full study and living costs during the Master’s degree course. In 2019, these six students received an ESOP scholarship: Afra Amini, Hanna Ragnarsdottir, Christoph Grunau, Nicolas Hutchins, Fizza Zafar and Sheng Zhou. Since 2007, 40 ESOP scholarships have been given out for the Master's degree courses specializing in computer science and data science. All ESOP scholars combined stem from over twenty countries and more than a fourth of all scholars are women.
