The snow in Frozen that swirls so convincingly across the screen; actors who died too soon but can still reprise their roles in the endless Star Wars saga thanks to state-of-the-art technology; or the elaborate facial expressions of the terrifying character Thanos in Avengers, Infinity War: all of these special effects are down to the team at Disney Research Zurich.
