The Institute of Theoretical Computer Science at ETH Zurich is delighted to announce that four of its researchers have recently received some of the most prestigious distinctions in the field. These honours are widely recognised as major milestones in an academic career.

ETH Zurich and EPFL will release a large language model (LLM) developed on public infrastructure. Trained on the “Alps” supercomputer at the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS), the new LLM marks a milestone in open-source AI and multilingual excellence.

The Swiss Day for Computer Science Education took place for the 14th time at ETH Zurich. The event offered teachers a wide range of courses and honored people and institutions who have made a special contribution to computer science in schools, as well as the finalists of the "Informatikbiber" competition.

Melanie Gabriel, the co-founder of Yokoy, a Swiss FinTech and AI company, strengthens the entrepreneurial & business perspective of the ETH AI Center. As Co-Director and COO, she will oversee operations, communications, and innovation activities. Congratulations!
