Four Master's graduates from the Department of Computer Science have been awarded prizes for their first-rate accomplishments. Congratulations!

One weekend, 80 creative minds, and 23 games – the Global Game Jam 2025 transformed the venerable StuZ in ETH Zurich's main computer science building into a melting pot of game ideas. From 24 to 26 January 2025, the ETH Game Technology Center hosted the Zurich edition of this global event and offered students, game developers and hobbyists a stage to explore their creative limits.

D-INFK alumnus Severin Hacker, co-founder and CTO of Duolingo, shared his experience in an ETH Global Lecture. An article, published by ETH Ambassadors, summarises content and findings of the panel discussion.

The ACM SIGPLAN Symposium on Principles of Programming Languages (POPL 2025) has recognised Professor Ralf Jung and his collaborators with a Test-of-Time Award for the paper "Iris: Monoids and Invariants as an Orthogonal Basis for Concurrent Reasoning". Big congratulations!

ETH Zurich bids farewell to Prof. em. Urs Hochstrasser, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 99. A distinguished figure closely connected to our department, his contributions are fondly remembered. We refer to the symposium held in his honour on January 12, 2016.
