Inauguration of the ETH AI Center

Pauline Lüthi | 12.10.2020

The newly founded ETH AI Center virtually opens its doors on October 20. You are invited to join the official inauguration from 16:00 - 18:00 to celebrate the ETH AI Center.

The center will lead the way towards trustworthy, accessible, and inclusive AI systems for the benefit of society. "The AI Center is not a virtual network," says Andreas Krause, Professor at the Department of Computer Science and designated head of the center. "It is a real meeting point where AI scientists from research and industry can exchange ideas and embark on joint research projects."

The center unites researchers of AI foundations, applications, and implications across all departments. Starting with the participation of 29 professorships, its own premises and new fellowship programmes, the center will reinforce ETH’s strong position in researching this key technology. The center will collaborate with the best AI research institutions across Europe and beyond to accelerate progress, support start-ups and industry collaborations, and to foster the next generation of AI researchers, transformational leaders, and entrepreneurs.
