Visits and tours at the Department of Computer Science:
We have a limited offer of customised visit programmes each year for school classes secondary level and up, and for groups of students from other universities. If you are interested in a visit or tour of the department, please provide
- name of university

Taster day:
Members of VIS (association of computer science students at ETH Zurich) organise taster days for high school students who are in the process of familiarising themselves with the array of study possibilities. During a taster day, students visit a lecture, exercise session, have lunch with students of computer science and visit the department premises. Throughout the day, students have the unique opportunity to experience student life and ask questions.
The taster day is free of charge. Previous knowledge or specific major subjects are not prerequisites for participation.
Taster week for women:
CSNOW, the network of women in computer science at ETH Zurich, has committed itself to introducing women to the field of computer science. The network organises a taster week twice a year, exclusively for female students. Participants can expect a varied program, including presentations, a programming workshop, round table discussions with female students and professionals, as well as a company visit. This sought-after course gives young women the opportunity to learn more about the different aspects of computer science and career opportunities. The diverse insights support female high school students in their decision about what to study.
The taster week is free of charge. Previous knowledge or specific major subjects are not prequisites for participation.
The Center for Computer Science Education (ABZ) offers training and further education for teachers and supports elementary schools and high schools that wish to develop or expand their computer science teaching accordingly with training courses and materials. Further, ABZ supports talented students by offering training sessions and camps in preparation for the Swiss Olympiad in Informatics (SOI).
